Technical Writer
Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced technical writer to join our team in the development of an LNG export terminal project. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex technical information.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain project documentation, including but not limited to technical specifications, user manuals, design documents, operation and maintenance manuals, and safety plans.
  • Work closely with the project team, including engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that all documentation accurately reflects project requirements and meets regulatory standards.
  • Review and edit documentation created by other project team members to ensure that it meets the required standards for technical writing.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that technical content is accurate, clear, and concise.
  • Organize and maintain project documents, ensuring that all materials are properly versioned, indexed, and stored.
  • Stay up-to-date with project developments, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, and ensure that all project documentation reflects these changes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a technical writer, ideally in the oil and gas or energy industry.
  • Experience working with complex technical information and translating it into clear and concise documentation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for technical writing in the energy industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a project team.
