Summary of Role:

Sustain high volume FinFET fabrication production, disposition of holds, and electrical test. Support general and urgent fab operation issues. Review ET(electrical test), Health of Line (HOL) and inline statistical process control (SPC), analyze sources of variation, improve line control and transistor variability. Also work with customers on ET (trend reporting, targeting, Cpk/variability). The candidate will be located in Malta, NY.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete ownership of a technology module, accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, delegation of tasks to extended module team, lead for definition of improvement experiments and hardware disposition.
  • Sustaining and improving manufacturing technologies by ensuring product quality, reducing defectivity, improving process stability (Cp/Cpk), and increasing processing efficiency
  • Detecting line issues through data analysis and driving appropriate containment and resolution in a timely manner in order to limit the impact to yield and delivery.
  • Collaborating with device, process module in driving development work for new production technologies.
  • Driving cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvement, and efficiency improvements.
  • NPI (New product introduction) setup and end-to-end (Product tapeout to Qualification & Yield) responsibilities
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams in driving CIPs for Device & Yield improvements in meeting customer goals and milestones
  • Characterize FinFET transistor performance and propose improvements.
  • Learn and become an expert on SPC, DOE, Yield analysis tools, Lot management systems, work on continuous improvement projects to improve ET line yield and Cpk.
  • Support Engineering teams on manufacturing ramp, cost reduction, etc.
  • Flexibility in job duties as business conditions vary is a must.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Science, Physics, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline
  • At least 4 years' experience of relevant experience
  • Fluent in English Language - written & verbal
  • Ability to relocate to Malta, NY

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Science, Physics, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in 300mm Semiconductor volume manufacturing experience
  • Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Understanding and knowledge of MOSFET, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Basic device physics understanding / experience & Process Integration experience
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, as well as internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis systems (such as SHINY, JMP, Exensio, or other software analysis tools).
  • SiView experience a plus
  • Some basic programming experience (Visual Basic, R, JMP scripting, C/C++, Java, etc.) and knowledge of SQL are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different cultures
