Location - MUST be on-site in College Station, TX.

What you ll do:

Day-to-day responsibilities include structural support as required for a variety of water and wastewater projects, but the majority of the expected assignments will be related to developing structural designs for new water and wastewater treatments plants or improvements to existing water and wastewater treatment facilities.

This will consist of developing detailed structural designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, and other ancillary structures associated with water and sewer infrastructure projects. Typical designs will include treatment process basins, chemical facilities, administration buildings, retaining walls, and other supporting structures. The structural group will be responsible for the structural design calculations, coordination with other disciplines, coordination with regional offices and regulating agencies, construction cost estimating, and quality assurance and control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 5 or more years of technical experience
  • Technically competent in structural engineering design in concrete, masonry, and structural steel
  • Proven experience overseeing structural designs, including detailed plans and specifications for major projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Ability to obtain PE registration in Texas and other states of practice
  • Experience using Bluebeam and MS Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong teaching and coaching skills to bring new team members up to speed

Preferred attributes:

Understanding of the structural complexities associated with water and wastewater treatment equipment.

  • Master s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Registration as a Structural Engineer or be willingness to take the NCEES Structural Engineer exam within two years of employment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit CAD programs
