Job Description and Summary:

RCM Energy Services is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its team in Oakland NJ, Berwyn PA or Florida (Remote Candidates Accepted).

RCM Technologies, a multi-disciplinary engineering company, is seeking Senior Structural Engineers a minimum of 6 years of experience in the design of industrial and commercial buildings, electrical generation stations (fossil and nuclear), electrical substations, and miscellaneous structures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement for a mid-level structural engineer through participation in a team-oriented and interdisciplinary approach to developing innovative engineering solutions for our local, national and international clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of industrial and commercial building design, Generation Stations and/or Substation design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • Willing to sign and seal structural drawings in various States
  • Experience with Concrete and Steel Design
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis, preferably STAAD Pro and RISA 3D
  • Ability to develop and review design drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Ability to prepare structural calculations using Excel and MathCAD
  • Ability to conduct site visits and structural field investigation
  • Work within a team-oriented environment to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines
  • Must demonstrate ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and apply individual judgment, initiative and decision making.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients, equipment vendors and construction contractors.
  • Must be computer proficient with Microsoft Office software products.
  • Perform other related assignments as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license to drive to client sites and between branch offices. Nationwide and International Travel may be periodically required. Expected travel time approx. 5-10% and can vary over time.
  • Must have a PE License in the United States and the willingness to obtain a PE in additional states, as necessary.
  • US Citizen or the ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees Master s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or related field(s)
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED-AP, CFPS.
  • A completed Model Law NCEES record.
  • Inter-disciplinary engineering experience.
  • Construction Supervision and field support services experience.
