Job Description of the Prototype Technician :
Build prototype assemblies and subassemblies to engineering requirements with measurable 100% First Time Quality. Interpret and understand complex techical documentation such as blueprints and specifications. Perform and certify inspection inspections and test in accordance with technical documentation. Record Build data maintain inspection documentation (written, electronic, and photograhpic). Use computerized eqiupment (welder, press, robotic, torque, etc.) and a variety of hand tools to complete assembly and inspection operations. Drive and navigate industrial material movement equipment in a safe manner or willing to be trained to do so. Participate in program technical reviews with engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Required Skills of the Prototype Technician :
Strong level of interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with management, engineering, suppliers, and customers
High level of problem solving skills to identify/perform root cause analysis on build issues and offer recommendations for resolution
Able to manually lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Available to work overtime and travel if required
Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to work independently while exhibiting teamwork skills with co-workers and others
Able to drive and navigate industrial material movement equipment in a safe manner or willing to be trained to do so

Required Experience of the Prototype Technician :
Minimum three-years experience in automotive, aerospace, or prototype manufacturing operations
Two-year Associate Technical degree or equivalent experience
ASE Certified Mechanic or demonstrated equivalent ability
Strong creativity in solving engineering issues and leading vehicle development
Knowledge of automotive electro-mechanical systems
