Project Engineer/Document Control

Job Description

Compile and administer submission of bid packages and shop drawings for multiple projects. Maintain log of plans, specifications, sketches, etc. including tracking of updates. Run various reports and perform data entry tasks as required. Other duties and responsibilities include distributing project documents to team members and prospective contractors; submissions in electronic format; files organized by project; documenting meetings and uploading as need be to the share platform. This clerical role requires someone with strong computer, communication and organizational skills to work with documents, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and interact with the construction project team.

· Ensure timely and accurate management of all project documentation

· Design Changes/Updates: Distribute all design changes to the entire project team and all subcontractors

· RFIs: Prepare and submit requests for information to the design team via Procore and distribute all responses to the appropriate parties

· Submittals: Create and manage the submittal log for the project. Obtain required submittals from subcontractors, review for compliance with the specifications and submit to the design team for review via Procore system software

· Understand and communicate long lead item impacts to the design team during the submittal review process and request expediting of submittal review where required.

· Safety Documentation: Upload subcontractor safety documentation to Procore.

· Assist Project Team in all matters relative to project document and control from time to time

Required Experience:

o Five to seven years of construction employment

o Procore proficiency is required

o Microsoft Office proficiency is required

o Knowledge of submission process and ability to read plans a must
