BLOX designs buildings in chunks that can be removed from conventional construction, manufactured as modules, transported, and assembled onsite to yield higher quality buildings that open significantly faster than those conventionally constructed. The process is called Design Manufacture Construct (DMC).

BLOX is both a service and product that includes architecture, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and construction. This conversion of construction to a manufactured process represents a new industry and opens demand for industrial engineers able to drive process improvement. Since its founding in 2010, BLOX has worked to achieve single piece flow on takt, controlled visually - it remains a work in progress. Rapid growth has stressed our v1 systems and projected 2x growth in 2018 necessitates development of our v2 production system.

BLOX needs a result focused, intelligent, and experienced industrial engineer to lead teams to extend manufacturing systems from the factory to the job site. They must be ready, willing, and able to:

1. Lead cross functional teams in problem solving tactics.

2. Integrate with design, manufacturing, and construction.

3. Understand and document our current state value stream.

4. Develop an analytical approach to define, present, and defend a future state.

1. Creation and tracking of KPI's.
2. Creation of Operational Standards, Work Instructions, and New Line Layout and Setup.

7. Develop a prioritized plan marrying available resources with steps required to achieve future state.

8. Solve complex problems with basic tools and limited technology including: production scheduling, line design and layout, standard work, work sequence, load leveling, flow, optimization, etc.

9. Teach concepts to managers and supervisors.

The ideal candidate would have experience and be comfortable working with the following software:

• SmartSheet

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

• Lean Manufacturing
• Value Stream Mapping
• Problem Solving using 8D and A3's
• Root Cause Analysis
• Statistical Process Control
• Time Studies

This a challenging position that reports to the Senior Manager of Process Improvement. The right candidate will have significant opportunity for growth within the company.

Experience: 5-10 years in manufacturing/construction

Education: BS or MS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
