  • Purpose of Job
    • Responsible for order entry of customer orders received by phone or fax. Processes orders received electronically, verifying accuracy, backorders, and substitutions. Acts as primary contact for assign Vizient customers, providing backorder information, product substitutions and order acknowledgement as soon as possible.

  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
    • Experience
      • General office experience preferred.
      • Prior PC experience preferred.
    • License/Certifications
      • Must successfully complete Back School, an in-service and demonstration of safe body mechanics, within 90 days of hire, and annually thereafter.
    • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
      • Demonstrates excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
      • Conveys a professional image at all times.
      • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
      • Skilled in the use of personal computers and standard office equipment.
      • Ability to organize work, manage time, and follow standardized procedures.
      • Ability to demonstrate understanding, reading, speaking, and writing the English language.
      • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
      • Ability to adhere to all workplace and safety requirements, regulations, standards, and practices.
      • Knowledge of warehouse/distribution/laundry operations and processes.
  • Essential Job Functions
    • Essential Functions I
      • Responsible for order entry of customer orders received by phone or fax.
      • Processes orders received electronically, verifying accuracy, backorders, and product substitutions.
      • Acts as primary contact for assigned Vizient customers, providing backorder information, product substitutions, and other acknowledgement as soon as possible.
      • Researches special order requests and forwards actual special orders to the appropriate buyer in purchasing.
      • Processes RMA as requested by customers, verifying that the purchase date and information is within current RMA guidelines.
      • Forwards all customer concerns or complaints to the appropriate departmental supervisor, manager, or director as necessary.
      • Provides copies of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to customers as requested.
      • Files warehouse worksheets and shipping tickets when required.
      • Assists with physical inventories.
    • Essential Functions II
      • Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.
      • Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies/procedures.
      • Other duties as assigned.
