CAT02: Carrier -Collierville, TN 97 South Byhalia Road, Collierville, TN, 38017 USA
PURPOSE: Perform mechanical maintenance functions related to plant facilities and/or equipment.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Install, test, trouble shoot, maintain, repair, overhaul, etc., any type of machine, fabricating machine, processing equipment or facility.
Check equipment and notify Supervisor of situations requiring corrective action.
Use specified safety equipment and practices.
Assist less qualified maintenance personnel with maintenance procedures.
Complete and return check sheets to Supervisor as required.
Keep equipment and working areas clean and in good order.
Keep accurate and legible records.

QUALIFICATIONS: Read and interpret blueprints.
Lift, move and position materials, use tools, equipment, etc. quickly and effectively.
Have sound knowledge of mechanical applications, hydraulics,, welding techniques, etc.
Must possess valid Journeyman's Card.
Must have five (5) years documented industrial experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
Training required: Blueprint
Lift Truck Operator License
TYPICAL TOOLS, INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT:
Hand or Power: Wrenches
Hammers and nail setting devices
Safety apparel and/or equipment
SUPERVISION: Verbal, written and/or demonstrated instructions. Varies with degree of experience and frequency of new product introduction.
LINE OF ORGANIZATION: Normally receives direction from and reports to assigned Supervisor. May receive direction and/or instruction from Leadperson acting upon general instructions from the assigned Supervisor.
