White Oak Estates, located at 400 Webber Road, Spartanburg is a long-term care facility with a rehab unit, assisted living, independent living apartments and wellness center. Due to a promotion, we are seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Job Summary:

This position cares, maintains, and repairs institutional property, equipment and grounds in an effective manner to safely meet resident s needs in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for preventive maintenance program on all equipment.

Some duties with electricity and plumbing is expected, however, this job does not require a trained electrician.

Inspects building and equipment regularly for compliance with local and state codes.

Advises and consults with administrator on maintenance and repair needs.

Keeps a daily log of work performed and is responsible for logging specific duties. Along with weekly/monthly scheduled checks.

On call for emergencies.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS:

Ability to plan and carry out programs of repair and preventive maintenance duties. Knowledge of supplies and equipment, their uses and care. Prior experience in maintenance, specifically plumbing, electrical and air conditioning unit maintenance. Knowledge of safety regulations as set forth by DHEC.
