Overview

The IT Support Analyst is responsible for the operation and maintenance of CAD / PDM-PLM systems & applications for product development & manufacturing. The Analyst possesses thorough understanding of the software to effectively deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems. Additionally, the role requires the ability to provide end user support, including the development of system documentation and the delivery of training. The ideal candidate will thrive in an IT environment which closely supports the corporate product development engineering and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Support the operation of production CAD / PDM & PLM systems & applications for product development & manufacturing
Troubleshoots and resolves any IT service issues related to software, OS, basic network connectivity, configuration, etc. on client computers and servers
Administrate and support SolidWorks CAD & PDM Professional system.
Provide user support for technical issues and best practices for CAD application, PDM data management software and other Engineering Systems
Develop & maintain system documentation including, but not limited to architecture, design, implementation and security standards and best practices
Develop and provide on-going training for existing and system upgrades and future system implementations
Work with software vendors, third party support and consultants on project tasks and problem resolution

Qualifications

Education

BS Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent

Experience

3 years experience in Computer Science and/or product development engineering field involving systems administration.

Skills

Service-oriented with strong customer service, analytical problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
Must have good verbal and written communication & presentation skills and be comfortable communicating to all levels in technical and nontechnical terms
The ability to prioritize, respond to and follow through on multiple customer support requests in a dynamic, time work environment
General Knowledge of engineering design and product lifecycle management processes, applications and systems
The ability to work independently and on a team is required
General knowledge of SQL databases
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Office, Excel, Power Point) and MS Visio.

Travel

10% overall; may be significantly higher during the duration of a project
