Pool and Spa Depot, headquartered in LaVergne, Tennessee, is looking for a Fleet Mechanic Manager (Master Mechanic) that will be responsible for maintaining a wide variety of fleet and specialized vehicles in order to keep production and deliveries on schedule

Job Duties include; but are not limited to the following:

Coordinate all vehicle maintenance and repair to ensure efficient operations

Maintain company fleet of vehicles to desired performance levels

Training new mechanics

Manage all preventative maintenance schedules, reports and troubleshooting

Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations

Maintain DOT inspections

Troubleshoot engine or other vehicle issues and complete repairs as needed

Ensure all vehicles have proper registration

Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty

Assign and delegate work to technicians

Maintain equipment such as engines, brakes, transmissions and steering mechanisms to ensure vehicles are safe for use on the road

Maintain a safe working environment

Maintaining parts inventory

Advise management on repair options and cost

Assist management in decision making regarding vehicle purchases

Diagnose and repair vehicles with diesel engines

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Inspect fleet vehicles to make ensure they are safe for operation

Qualifications:

Valid Drivers License & clean driving record are required.

Advanced knowledge of diesel engines

Working knowledge of CDL vehicles and engines

Minimum 6-8 years experience with mechanic repairs and diagnostics on both vehicles and construction equipment

Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime

Must be computer literate & be familiar with diagnostic equipment & software

Strong aptitude for mechanical processes and systems

Meticulous attention to detail

Excellent problem solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team

Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen.
