Best-One of Henderson is a well-established Tire Dealership seeking an outgoing, aggressive self-starter to serve as Commercial Tire Technician .

Duties Include:

Inspect vehicles using commercial inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor; apply test instruments to equipment and read results to diagnose malfunctions; inspect and verify dimensions and clearances to comply with factory specifications.

Perform basic commercial maintenance and repair, including oil changes, lubricating machinery and equipment, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs.

Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment and balancing machines.

Perform brake, shock, strut, suspension and other mechanical repairs and parts replacements.

Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices.

Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.

Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls.

Test drive commercial vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operating condition.

Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.

Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks.

Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.

Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook.

Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.

Perform general housekeeping duties.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.

Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.

Repetitive motion.

Sustained vibrations.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.

Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).

Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).

PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
