Job Description

Position responsibilities include support with semiconductor assembly and engineering development activities in the Skyworks Newport Beach Development Lab. This position requires a self-motivated team player with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced assembly operations environment.

Work Schedule: Night Shift (M-F 11:00 pm - 7:30 am)

Job Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include support with semiconductor assembly and engineering development activities
Daily activities will include building semiconductor prototypes and engineering development parts using assembly equipment such as Solder Screen Printer, SMT machine, Reflow Oven, Die Attach Machine, Wire Bond Machine, Molding, Laser Marking, and Dicing equipment
Other tasks may include parts kitting/inventory and organization of lab materials, running DOEs, and data collection for the Electronic Packaging group
Knowledge of how to perform minor equipment troubleshooting
Must participate in a daily shift change pass down, exchange of information, or meetings

Job Requirements:

An Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent years of experience is required
Must be familiar with semiconductor assembly equipment such as MPM Solder Screen Printing, Fuji SMT machine, DATACON die attach machine, KnS wire bonder, TOWA molding machine, EOTech laser marking and DISCO saw singulation machine
Must have the ability to use various hand tools, measuring tools, DVMs, ohm meters, vacuum pen and tweezers. Must know how to read and analyze schematics, wire bond diagrams, and drawings
Intermediate Knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office - MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for reporting tasks
Ability to communicate and interface with internal business unit customers/engineers for assembly issues and corrective actions
Ability to run and operate these various semiconductor assembly equipment and tooling
Ability to perform minor machine preventative maintenance
