A public safety/fire communications company is looking for a high-energy, customer-focused Electronics Technician to join our Production and Customer Service Teams. We are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who will work closely with our installation, engineering, technical support and project management personnel to ensure quality manufacturing and service of our communications and alarm systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

· Builds, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs new and existing hardware, software or manufacturing designs and processes used for public safety communications
· Collects and records accurate test or process data for use in problem analysis, product verification, process verification and engineering
· Builds and/or supervises building of cable harnesses and interface cables
· Knowledge and ability to work with both analog and digital circuits
· Understanding and ability to operate a Service Monitor, Oscilloscope, Volt/Multi-Meter, RF Power Meters and Signal Generators
· Works with engineering department in changes, new releases, and assembly of existing and new products
· Ability to program micro-controllers
· Uses hand tools and light power tools to assemble products
· Provide written and verbal assistance to customers, dealers, and installers
· Ability to work with low voltage electronic systems
· Exercises and maintains good housekeeping and safety principles in the completion of work
· Some on-site, field work may be required
· Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by supervisor or management

Job Requirements:
· AA degree or relevant experience in a related field
· 3- 5 years' experience in electronic manufacturing.
General: Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational skills
Technical: Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics and specifications, must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and processes. Strong skills in reading, understanding and communicating information contained on manufacturing documentation. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Communication: Exceptional/Strong communication skills both, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present idea in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Ability to respond effectively to co-workers, able to work with different levels of personnel within an organization Report status of current contract processes to management. Ability to interact with customers, clients, vendors, in a very business friendly manner. Able to convey information effectively.
Teamwork/Team Player Skills: Strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times. Thrive in a team environment and work well with others. Enjoy working as a team member as well as independently. Someone that can display being a team leader in addition to being a team player.
Mathematical & Reasoning: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Computer: Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite as well as other industry-specific technology tools used within the organization.
Physical and Environmental Elements :
Physical Demands: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. Ability to frequently lift and/or more move items up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. Ability to talk and hear continuously.
Vision : Ability to see close range (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less), Ability to see at distance (clear or corrected vision at 20 feet or more). Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point (peripheral vision), Ability to see color, depth perception and ability to focus are high in this position.
