L&H Companies is experiencing growth and is seeking an experienced, motivated, problem-solving individual to join our rapidly growing award-winning Engineering department as a Design Engineer.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • On-site, full-time role in Charlotte, NC
  • Produce fabrication drawings for both Exterior and Interior sign types: including section details, attachment details, construction drawings, isometric views, illumination, and assembly details
  • Ability to produce technical drawings, construction drawings, and fabrication drawings from Concepts and/or Design Intent drawings
  • Knowledge of fabrication principles as they relate to Sign Design is required
  • Knowledge of construction and fabrication with steel and aluminum is required
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret site plans, civil codes, and construction documents is required
  • Must be willing and able to work outside of regular business hours if/when needed. Overtime as required

Requirements

  • Proficient skills with Corel Draw, Solidworks or comparable industry programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop
  • Basic Microsoft Office 365 skills are required
  • Ability to create Technical Drawings including elevations, section views, and assembly details/construction details
  • Produce production-ready art, vinyl, and CAD router files for shop releases
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills; written, verbal, and listening
  • Ability to produce 3D models using Blender or Sketchup is not required but is a plus
  • Experience with ADA standards a plus
  • Work independently with and without supervision
