This position will be a direct interface between the owner, design team and construction team.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Construction Management

  • Represent owner in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Work to ensure design and construction is undertaken properly.
  • Minimize owner's risk.
  • Provide consulting and oversight to the owner regarding design, bidding and construction of a wide array of projects including: commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, and government projects.
  • Act as the liaison between the contractors and the owner, and the design team the owner.
  • Review pay applications and change order requests, and provide feedback and recommendations to owner.
  • Provide project reporting to the owner.
  • Provide on-site construction review to report on progress and quality of construction.
  • Primary point of contact for correspondence regarding the project.
  • Meet with Senior Staff and Management on regular basis to discuss company objectives, long term strategic goals, financial performance, QC procedures, etc.

Project Management

  • Represent Design team on single/multi-discipline projects in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Work to ensure design and construction is undertaken properly.
  • Minimize risk.
  • Execution of project design, bidding and construction of a wide array of projects including: commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, energy, manufacturing and government
  • Act as the liaison between the design team members, subconsultants, contractors and the owner.
  • Responsible for project financials including budget, accounts payable/receivable, change orders, etc.
  • Responsible for project scope and schedule execution and management.
  • Provide project reporting to Senior Staff and Management.
  • Primary point of contact for correspondence regarding the project.
  • Meet with Senior Staff and Management on regular basis to discuss company objectives, long term strategic goals, financial performance, QC procedures, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and with others, with a minimum level of supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Knowledge and high degree of skill in determining project requirements, setting the project scope of work, determining design schedules and budgets, determining preliminary construction schedules and budgets, and review of contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction delivery methods
  • High degree of skill in managing multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties and internal team members.
  • Excellent understanding of requirements of other disciplines on the project team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. Degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited college is required.
  • Minimum of eight years' actual experience in Construction Management.
