The Civil/Structural Engineer of the analysis team supports the analysis and design of the CB&I storage product line, including tanks, pressure vessels, low temperature & cryogenic vessels and other plate steel structures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform finite element analysis of plate steel and concrete structures for static, thermal and dynamic load combinations.
• Assist with and contribute to the preparation of analysis reports that communicate analysis methods and results to internal design groups and external clients.
• Communicate with the design groups to establish project requirements including analysis methods, design loads and deliverables.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Minimum BS in Civil Engineering or other related degree
• Experience designing structural connections
• Working knowledge of the commercial FEA program ANSYS. Including Ansys Workbench and Ansys Classic APDL.
• Ability to work in a team environment, including good communication skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• PE registration preferred
• Experience with analysis of plate steel structures a plus
