Little Stars Daycare Center provides a safe, caring homelike atmosphere for children, while providing for their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Our teachers and staff operate as a little community and have the ability to create meaningful and close relationships with the children and parents. We are located in Golden Valley at our Meridian and Orion Service s Corporate Office. Little Stars is licensed for 10 infants and toddlers combined and 10 preschoolers. We typically have 4-5 infants attending and 4-5 toddlers per day. Our daycare provides quality care and education for our employees children and residents of Golden Valley, MN. Our employees work through Meridian, Orion or Zenith Services.

Location: Golden Valley, MN

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:15a-3:15p. The Director may need to flex their hours based on needs of their program. This position involves teaching for a large portion of the day. Office tasks will be done typically 2 hours a day.

Pay: $19.23/hour

About the Director position:
Provide leadership to a small team of teacher s and staff. Interview, hire and train staff. Audit and tracking of annual training requirements and staff meetings/team builders monthly.
Oversight of curriculum and programming. Coordination of conferences with families
Oversight of Little Stars facility. Conducting walk throughs, ordering supplies and groceries.
Following and tracking of budget
Completion of weekly enrollment and working with the finance department on any issues with billings
Marketing of openings and completion of tours. Completion of enrollment packets.
Communication with families
Following through on licensing requirements, keeping up to date on requirements and COVID updates from MDH.
Filing, auditing of children s books and staff books
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive infant, toddler and preschool curriculum based on best practices and research on early brain development and learning. As we provide an enriched, stimulating environment, filled with child-initiated learning experiences, children are offered the opportunity to learn and develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge necessary to becoming independent, productive individuals.

Requirements:
Have at least 1,040 hours of paid or unpaid staff supervision experience; and
Have at least nine quarter credits or 90 hours earned in any combination of accredited courses in staff supervision, human relations, and child development.
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a graduate of high school or hold an equivalent diploma attained though successful completion of the commissioner of education-selected high school equivalency test.
Meet qualification of a teacher specified in part 9503.0032.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for working with children and building relationships with families
