Shift - Monday-Friday - 6:45am-3:30pm

Prototype department is seeking someone with an interest in electrical that also has a mechanical skillset. With potential to be an Automotive Instrumentation/Electrical Technician. Those who have a basic knowledge and interest in electrical wiring (any type) would be a good fit. This is a specialized field that offers a lot of hands-on work, for offsite testing and evaluation.

Candidate will initially train in the Kit Room for 2 weeks prior to being placed in Instrumentation/electrical role.

Long term spot, we are willing to train

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 6 months automotive knowledge or equivalent (including education)
Basic knowledge and interest in electrical wiring (any type)
Must have own tools with rolling toolbox.
Willingness to follow procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects, such as work requests, shop procedures and/or shop manuals, publications or schematic diagrams.
Be a self-starter & self-motivated
Willingness to work in a team atmosphere & learn new tasks as an Automotive Instrumentation/Electrical Technician.
Have the skills & desire to complete all tasks assigned.
Have excellent communication & time management skills.
Have reliable attendance & be able to work overtime/weekends.
Must have good attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:
Experience performing soldering, crimping, tube bending, component layout and packaging on vehicles or subsystems preferred.
Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples and pressure transducers preferred.
Knowledge of Ford products a plus.
ASE /State certifications a plus.
